What We Throw Away

This is my entry for the Holes/Holes contest. I thought I would go a bit different and upload this version of a hole though a bottle. I suggest you full view it for greater impact since it feels as if your really looking though the hole in real life that way.




"Underneath all this trash and broken glass the earth sits, waiting to be found again. It is only though the hole of a clear uncolored glass bottle, do we see its crust. Hiding in wait as we fill the lands of once plush greenery, into waste. Our human hands can do so much. It can help or hurt. Yet we chose to disgrace out lands and let out lips lay waste in the consumption of our depression. Why are we so depressed? Perhaps it's the sadness of the world seeping into our bones. We drink, drink, and drink some more then toss the bottles to side. Filling the holes of the land with broken glass and broken dreams. We throw away everything, our lives, our dreams, our future. But through this one little whole in the middle of our mountain of melted sand all broken does hope still continue. We see it, just a little small thing, but it keeps us going."
